Hey fellas, I've got an ideas as well as found some pics of how to pics some speakers on my sport bike, although I'm prob going to tweek the design a bit for aesthetics. needless to say, I'm going to need like 3" speakers, and I'm not familiar in this area. I know they will prob be marine speakers as they will have to be water proof, and not too expensive. does anyone have any suggestions or ideas as far as the speakers go? they can be a 2 way set or coaxials, either is fine.

I would say marine coaxial and fiberglass a pod for them. Are you going to be running a HU and amp also?

Ive been looking at can't find a 4" marine coaxial, I figure that's as small as I can go, as the inner fairing is quite thin(thick wise). I will be running a HU and amp as well, that's correct, unless I run the speaker(s) directly off the HU

I'm not going car audio, the speakers will be exposed to the atmosphere and climate, I need marine or outdoor speakers, nothing else. I'm not buying over priced brand equipment, I know there are speakers out there, I'm just having trouble finding them.

any examples to back that up? I'm just curious cus my dad could use some for his bike

I've yet to find a speaker that is water proof, it would have to be completely sealed, Get a speaker with a rubber surround, plastic, or some kind of none completely paper cone. Just make sure the speaker is in a sealer enclosure, marine speaker ftl, My pops has a boat dealer ship and marine speakers last as long as car audio speakers in boats, sometimes less.

so find me some kickers or something a bit higher quality than kenwood....

listen asshole, probably a max of like 70 for the pair. I'm thinking of running them straight off the HU instead of using a small amp.
