| Post subject: | Placement for 5.25s |
When I put the 6.5 mpyre mids in, I was missing some sound, so I hooked my RF 5.25s and it was awesome! I'm just trying to find the best/easiest place to put them. I would put some pods by the kick panels but this car is small, and my in car fuse box is in the way. So these are my options, any other ideas are welcome! And yes I will be remaking the door panel to make it look nice. 1. I can relocate my power outlet and build a pod for them under the HU, the only problem is building the pod and no cup holders, plus I'm not sure how that would sound. 2. In the center console under the dash, this would be the easiest of all of them, but I'm not sure how it'll sound. 3. In the door pockets, this would probably be the best placement for SQ, the problem being I cant run another wire through the door because it's too tight, so would have run a jumper of the wire to the 6.5 Option 1. I know it looks tight but they will fit, I already checked. ![]() Option 2. In the center console just in front of the gear shifter ![]() Option 3. In the door pocket close to the 6.5

yeah I'm leaning more towards 2, what I was Thinking is wire the speakers up flip flopped, like the 5.25 on the drivers side wired to the right channel and the pass side wired to the left channel |

do you have the cover(grills) to the 5.25's? Looking at the Pic in option 2, Can you cut a hole big enought to mount the 5.25's in the side of the center concole? I thing that it might look better and less " nikka rigged". throwing it out there. |

yeah they're going in the console today, I was checking to see what would sound best, and the console won. The channel separation was very good. Plus I don't have enough room on the drives side for a pod |

good luck with that. now that i think about it. they would look cool if you fiberglassed them into the center console and aimed them toward you and toward the passenger |
