Post The Big Three
The Big 3 Are:

1. Negative battery wire to ground - just replace the negative batt. terminal and wire and ground it to the factory location.

2. Engine block to ground - replace the ground wire from the engine block to the chassis with a bigger wire (maybe 4 gauge to 0 gauge).

3. Alternator to batt - add a fused wire from the positive post on you alternator (the one coming from the battery) to the positive terminal on your battery. DO NOT exchange wires just add a extra one. Make sure it fis fused to the capacity that the wire can handle. Use the same size wire all around. If you use 0 gauge wire for one part of the big three use the same for the other two parts.

Note on #2- Some cars have a batt-engine block connection instead of chassis to engine block...

"Make sure it fused the same size as your factory fuse."

...no. It should be fused to the capacity of the wire you're using or a little less. NOT the same as the factory fuse. That is if you even fuse it. There is lots of debate over it and to me it is not necessary. If you do it right then you shouldn't worry.

Post Re: The Big Three
did you see the post on the CA forum? this dude kept ref'ing his photos, that was the ugliest, most unkept engine bay I've ever seen. A very poor example of teh big3z. but yeah, the fuse should match the rating of the wirez. good fix here. I'm proud to be helpful lol....
